DAP’s Kepayan assemblyman Dr.Edwin Bosi was today suspended for 3 months with immediate effect, from the party for insubordination and tarnishing the party’s reputation through various adverse statements in the media. This was effected by a complaint lodged by the state DAP committee, headed by DAP Sandakan Member of Parliament Stephen Wong.

In a letter to Edwin from the secretary of the disciplinary committee, Tai Sin Piau, it stated that the disciplinary committee in their deliberation had found evidence to support its actions. It listed 3 reasons:
  1. That you Edwin, had made repeated public statements and comments in the media threatening to quit the party, including joining another party or contest as an Independent candidate in the event you are not retained as a candidate in the 14th general elections.
  2. That you Edwin, had made repeated public statements and comments in the media that you have no trust in the Sabah DAP Chairman Stephen Wong, and accusing him of having poor leadership.

  4. That you Edwin, had not made any categorical denials of these media reports.
  5. The disciplinary committee found it evident that Edwin had failed to conduct himself in a manner befitting of a responsible member, leader and elected representative of the party.

Edwin has been further accused of failing to place the party’s interest above his own and had not utilize internal channels to raise his grouses.

In addition, Edwin’s actions had not only undermined the Sabah DAP leadership, but has also tarnished the party’s reputation and exposed the party to unfair criticism.
